Kar2ouche Drug Awareness encourages students to discuss behaviours that affect physical and mental health – in particular those relating to drug use and abuse. Developed with teachers, PSHE Drug Awareness immerses students in modern, everyday situations where they can listen, discuss then control and direct the action.

Many of the issues discussed are sensitive and so potentially uncomfortable, especially if performed in front of peers. By using Kar2ouche and virtual role-play, pupils can deal with situations, ask questions and challenge assumptions in a less personally threatening or embarrassing way.

This can be achieved through a wide range of creative activities including interactive role-play, picture-making, storyboarding, animation, publishing, directing and movie-making. An extensive Education Support Pack is contained electronically (contained as a PDF file and word file) and provides lesson ideas and activities aligned to Citizenship and PSHE at KS3.
